Liquid chlorophyll is yet another supplement I cannot live without. It is an amazing super food with a vast array of healing properties and tastes good too! Chlorophyll is the substance responsible for a plant's green color and harnesses the Sun for photosynthesis. During WWII, Chlorophyll was used as a common first-aid treatment to prevent festering wounds because of its amazing antiseptic properties. Here is a list of all of the wonderful things chlorophyll does. By the time you get to the end of the list, I'm sure you'll agree, this is one super-food you shouldn't live without!
Chlorophyll is known as a body purifier and blood cleanser. It is known to relieve: inflammation associated with arthritis, gastrointestinal problems, pancreatitis, sore throats, and skin problems. It also dilates blood vessels to improve circulation, lowers blood pressure, improves heart function, provides a mild antibiotic that destroys bacterial growth, is a natural remedy for anemia (in fact, I've heard of people using chlorophyll instead of blood for transfusions because the molecular make-up is so similar), destroys yeast, candida, and fungus in the digestive tract, improves liver function and encourages the regeneration of damaged liver cells, counteracts the negative effects of radiation, toxins, and carcinogens (i.e. prevents CANCER!), improves the immune system and intestinal function, eliminates body odor and bad breath, inhibits gum infections, tooth decay, and gingivitis, soothes laryngitis and tonsillitis (when gargled), promotes the growth of healthy intestinal flora, eliminates water retention, enhances breast milk product production for nursing mothers, soothes nervousness, stimulates enzyme production of vitamins A, E, and K. Liquid chlorophyll is easily absorbed and assimilated and crosses directly into the blood stream when digested.
The type of Chlorophyll I personally use is Liquid Chlorophyll from Nature's Sunshine (although I'm sure you could find it in any health food store). It's high quality, low-cost, and tastes like spearmint! Each teaspoon contains 15mg of pure chlorophyllins obtained from alfalfa! Because it contains spearmint essential oil (which contains a terpene derivative known as carvone), it further relieves mild indigestion, dispel nausea, eliminates gas, and soothes spasmodic stomach and abdominal pain.(You can also find it in pill form on their website naturessunshine.com).
For those people in your life who are a little more apprehensive about taking supplements or doing natural medicine, Chlorophyll is a great first step because of it's taste and versatility.

Directions: You can add just a teaspoon to your water or you can be a little more generous like myself, and add a few squirts. Your water will turn green!
- You are only as clean as the blood that runs through your veins, and in today's society, our blood is pretty dirty! So if you're wondering what the next addition to your health routine should be, maybe Chlorophyll should get a second look!
